N.Korea versus S.Korea

Both Koreans started preparing for the war a week ago. In fact, North Korean torpedo caused to sink South Korean warship and the death of 46 sailors on 26th March.
What if North Korea wanted to secretly attack to South, why would North Korea have planned to use torpedoes, which they easily identify own host? If yes, North Koreans used torpedoes to sink South Korean navy, why would it bother denying it?
If Russia and China support and stand North Korean side as in Korean war in 1950-53, North Koreans will declare war. The key to the consequence is now held by China and/or Russia. According to Yahoo News, the future of the war will resulted in next week.

Different Planetary System

Dear friends, we all know our planetary system, its sun, its planets and their orbits as show on the picture.
Recently astronomers assumed that totally different planetary system is lying 44 light years away from own planetary system. Barbara McArthur and her team at the University of Texas worked on the performance for 14 years and used Austin's McDonald Observatory and Hubble Space Telescope.
The odd planetary system's parent star is named Upsilon Andromedea. Astronomers have never faced such orbits before that c and d planets are at steep angle to each other. They stated that "after the planetary system is formed, huge and violent force could disrupt the orbits."
On the picture, c and d planets' exact masses are calculated through their radial velocity. c planet equals 14 Jupiters and d is 10 Jupiters. The innermost planet b is still implicit. The parent star is red dwarf, which is dummer and smaller than our sun.

Samsung World’s First 40-nm 4GB DDR3 Memory Targeted For Server Market

Memory technology is moving fast with more and more motherboard starting to support DDR3. Similarly for Samsung, the famous Korean based memory maker has just announced its readiness to mass produce low-power DDR3 devices with 4Gb (Gigabit) memory technology targeted for server market.

The new memory module will be based on 40-nm process technology which is low in power consumption compliant to new Energy Star specification ideal for greener environment. And with its 4Gb configuration, system integrator can enjoy a 32GB memory capacity per module, doubling what can be provided by 2Gb memory configuration. Typically, a memory module based on 60-nm 1Gb DDR2 will consume around 210W, and the new 40-nm based 4Gb DDR3 can get down to as low as 36W, which is around 10 percent saving in terms of total energy cost in average server system. And more importantly, it will able to scale more intensively with high performance and sufficient memory capacity to support high demanding server application as well as mainstream notebooks.

No pricing and exact availability yet, the new DDR3 memory module will be available in both 16GB and 32GB RDIMMs and a relatively smaller 8GB SoDIMMs. As opposed to DDR2 that requires higher supply power, the new DDR3 module can be used with either 1.35V or 1.5V and we should foresee more transition as its price has already started to drop as a replacement for DDR2 memory module.

Microsoft Office 2010 launches locally

Microsoft has launched what it calls the best version of its Office software ever.
The newest release of Office 2010 allows users to work on files from any PC, any browser and nearly every smarthphone.
Albie Bester of Microsoft says Office 2010 will make a real difference in home and business users’ loves, especially if they centralise their working lives around email.
“This version of Office allows people to work smarter and faster from virtually any location using any device. Given many people ‘live’ in their email these days, this is a critical factor, and Outlook 2010 takes this to the next level,” he said.
The social media integration is one of the key features of Office 2010.
Through Outlook, people can keep track of email conversations, stay up to date with their co-workers, friends and family, see Facebook updates and LinkedIn pictures for their e-mail contacts, and add a contact as a friend on social networking sites -- without ever leaving the application,” said Bester.
Big news for corporates is the ability to co-author a document, online or offline at the same time or different times.
A lightweight version of Office 2010’s Web Apps like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote will be available to consumers free of charge through Windows Live. Business users can run Web Apps via a server running SharePoint.
“Web Apps allows people to open and work on Office documents from virtually anywhere, on any device with an Internet connection. They can also share documents with friends, family and co-workers anywhere,” explained Bester.
Business users can expect Office 2010 as early as next month and the consumer version will hits shelves in July. Prices are expected to be 40% less than the previous version.
